NDIS Disability Support Morwell

Morwell was founded in the 1860s as a small rural settlement near the Morwell River, with pastoral leases like Maryvale shaping its early economy. The town grew rapidly after the railway line from Melbourne to Sale opened in 1879, and later transformed into an industrial hub with the development of the Latrobe Valley’s vast brown coal deposits in the early 20th century. Fun fact: Morwell is home to the Centenary Rose Garden, which has won international awards and features thousands of rose varieties.
