NDIS Disability Support Moe
Moe was settled in 1856, its name derived from an Aboriginal word meaning “mud swamp.” The town grew significantly in the 1950s due to the expansion of brown coal mining and electricity generation in nearby Yallourn. It was proclaimed a borough in 1955 and a city in 1963. Fun fact: Moe is home to “Old Gippstown,” a recreated historical village showcasing Gippsland’s pioneer heritage.
